Publicity for the event
The Christmas lights switch on is a very popular event which attracts thousands of people. This year we are hiring the whole newly refurbished Town Hall to give more space than in previous years and Santa's grotto will also be in there. We will also have Christmas music, refreshments, hot food and children's activities to entice families into the market after school.
Main browsers: young familes.
- 5,000 full colour A5 flyers sent to all the local primary schools and many nurseries as well as local shops and outlets
- Large banner across the town hall
- Via We Love Marlborough's email list, Facebook and Twitter
- Press release to local and regional newspapers, magazines, radio and TV
FAQs
Christmas:
- A space costs £34 each (8ft space including trestle table subject to availability) with additional spaces only £24 each, and £24 for students/unwaged/charities or not-for-profit organisations.
- It is for original art and craft (or reproductions of the stall holder's art), ethical and high quality products.
- You will need public liability insurance (see below).
- Trestle tables are 2.6ft x 6.6ft
- There are plenty of chairs.
In the event of oversubscription, priority is given to Marlborough area based and Wiltshire artists and makers.
